Black Dolls is a celebration of pride, self-love, and the beauty of being seen and valued. Through the tender embrace of a young girl holding her doll, the painting explores the powerful connection between nurturing and being nurtured. The doll becomes more than a childhood companion; she is a reflection of the girl's own identity, beauty, and worth. In caring for something that looks like herself, she learns to recognize and embrace the beauty within. It is a quiet yet profound expression of belonging, tenderness, and the importance of seeing ourselves reflected in the things we love. Ultimately, Black Dolls reminds us that the love we give is often the love we are learning to give ourselves.
