Macho
2024
Mixed Media, Acrylic on Paper
36 × 36 in
Macho explores a different understanding of strength—the kind that does not need to announce itself. It is about knowing, even from an early age, that you are capable, resilient, and strong.
The young boy carries himself with a quiet confidence. He does not need to dominate the room to command it. His strength comes from self-assurance, character, and the natural ability to lead without demanding that others follow.
The title Macho deliberately plays against traditional ideas of masculinity. Here, being strong is not about aggression or bravado. It is about knowing who you are, standing firmly in yourself, and understanding that a quiet presence can be just as powerful as a loud one.
Macho celebrates the quiet leader—the child who already knows his strength before the world tells him what strength is supposed to look like.
